Contact form

The form on the home page takes the same route as the bookings: your name, email address, the details of your flying level and the text of your message go to Google (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, with its group headquarters in the USA) and are stored there in a spreadsheet to which only I have access. If you write to me or call me directly, the same applies: I use your details only for the reply and for handling what we agree. I have to keep invoices and booking records for ten years, as required by the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO, OR).

WhatsApp community for the XC Days

The spontaneous flying days are announced via a WhatsApp community (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. / Meta). You do not get access to it through a link on this site; I send it to you by email after you have written to me. I keep your email and what you tell me in it about your flying level for as long as you want to receive the announcements. Only I can send messages in the community; you receive exactly these announcements and no other messages. The other members cannot see your telephone number; I, as the operator of the community, can see it and use it for nothing other than these announcements. WhatsApp’s own terms apply to the processing of your data by WhatsApp. You can leave the community yourself at any time; your number is then also gone for me.

If you receive the announcements by email instead: you can unsubscribe at any time without any formalities at info@streckenfliegen.com.

WhatsApp group for a camp

If a camp takes place, I set up a WhatsApp group for it: for the meeting point, the weather and whatever changes along the way. For this I need your mobile number from the booking form. Unlike in the community, all participants in this group can see each other’s numbers; that is how a WhatsApp group works. After the camp I delete the group; what you have exchanged among yourselves is up to you.

Newsletter

The newsletter is something different from the community for the XC Days and runs separately from it. If you sign up, I store your email address and the sentence with which you gave your consent, in order to send you the newsletter. I do not pass any of this on and I do not use it for anything else.

Sign-up runs via Google (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland): your address ends up in the same spreadsheet that also holds the camp bookings and to which only I have access.

Signing up alone is not enough. You first receive an email with a confirmation link and only your click on it makes the sign-up valid. Without this click I send you nothing and delete the row again. This extra step protects you from someone else entering your address. And it is my proof that you gave your consent. The following is recorded: your address, the date you signed up, the date of confirmation and the sentence you consented to.

The emails are sent from my own inbox; I do not measure whether you open an email or click on a link.

You can unsubscribe at any time with an informal email to info@streckenfliegen.com; one word is enough. I then delete your address from the list.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Infomaniak (Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva) on servers in Switzerland. When the site is accessed, technical connection data is generated there: IP address, time, page accessed, browser and operating system. This is technically necessary to operate a website and cannot be switched off. I do not analyse this data and do not combine it with other details.

Fonts

The fonts on this site are stored on the same server as the site itself. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font service and your IP address is not transmitted there either.

Light and dark
